Starting from May 1st, it is now possible to submit an application for the Marketing Regulation for the Q3 application period, as well as to register an artist for the music showcase festival and conference ESNS 2025. Find below more information about both opportunities.
Marketing Regulation in 2024
In 2017, Dutch Music Export proudly introduced the regulation for co-financing international release campaigns. Over the years, the Marketing Budgets regulation has grown into a successful formula, enabling Dutch Music Export to support over 150 Dutch artists, once or sometimes multiple times, to increase limited marketing budgets, thereby enhancing international opportunities and achieving more success.
The financial contribution through Dutch Music Export for this regulation is based on the so-called matching principle, whereby 50% of the marketing budget is covered by the artist, management, and international partners. The second 50% is provided from the Marketing Budgets regulation.
The minimum amount to apply for this regulation is 5,000 Euros, up to a maximum of 20,000 Euros. Only one approved application per artist per year is allowed. An application can only be made for the release of an album, EP, and/or multiple singles and is awarded based on a strategic plan and a solid budget. An application can only be made prior to the start of the campaign and cannot be retroactively applied for. Learn more about the regulation, criteria, and application procedure via www.dutchmusicexport.com/marketing-regeling.
