About the program

From November 13th to 15th, 2025, Dutch Music Export, in collaboration with The Spanish Wave, will participate in the Fira Valenciana de la Música – Trovam! in Castellón, Spain. This renowned showcase festival is an important platform for the Southern European music industry, with a strong international character and a focus on artistic diversity and cultural exchange. The performance is part of a European exchange project with ESNS (NL), Fengaros (CY), and Babel Music XP (FR), among others.

The festival is part of the Trovam EUxChange project, supported by Creative Europe through the LIVEMX programme, and aims to promote artists who sing in regional or minority languages.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for one Dutch act that:

Sings in a regional or minority language spoken in the Netherlands and recognized as a European language (such as Frisian, Limburgish, Low Saxon, etc.)
Musically and professionally it fits within an international showcase festival
Is active at an international level or aspires to be so
Available to perform in Castellón, Spain between November 13–15, 2025

Practical conditions for artist participation (EU Exchange)

Participation in Trovam! is covered by the EU Exchange Program.

The following conditions apply to selected European acts:

Fee: €1,200 on invoice
Travel expenses reimbursement - to be reimbursed by the organization - up to a maximum of €1,200
Accommodation: The organization provides 2 hotel nights per musician (in double rooms), for a maximum of 4 musicians.

Why this focus on language?

Within the Creative Europe program, promoting linguistic diversity is a key priority. By providing a platform for artists who sing in regional or minority languages, cultural wealth is not only showcased but also contributes to the visibility, mobility, and recognition of underrepresented communities in Europe.

Trovam! is the Valencian Community's leading music conference. In addition to showcasing emerging and established talent, it also offers conferences, networking sessions, and presentations focused on innovation, sustainability, and diversity within the music industry. In 2025, Trovam! will form an exchange platform with ESNS (NL), Fengaros (CY), and Babel Music XP (FR), with a joint focus on artists singing in minority languages.

Creative Europe is the European Union's cultural programme. It supports cultural and creative sectors within Europe, focusing on cross-border collaboration, innovation, sustainability, and inclusion. The programme helps artists and organizations operate internationally and reach new audiences.
