BumaStemra's Rise Up and Dutch Music Export are excited to announce an upcoming writing camp organised by CIAM exclusively for women.
The event is set to take place at the renowned VISOM Digital Studios in Rio de Janeiro from November 6th to 8th, 2023. You are invited to apply for a spot!
This event will have a primary focus on the Latin American market, featuring the participation of five talented writers from the region. Additionally, we anticipate a diverse group of participants hailing from various corners of the globe, including New Zealand, the United States, Canada, South Africa, and more. In a bid to empower women in the field of songwriting, CIAM, in collaboration with BumaStemra/Dutch Music Export, is offering support for one Dutch female writer to join this exceptional camp. We will cover the costs for your airplane tickets and your hotel stay from the 5th till the 10th of November. Next to the writing camp you will also be invited to the CIAM-conference on the 9th of November where you will have the opportunity to meet creators from all over the world.
So if you are a female songwriter eager to explore the vibrant Lat-Am music scene and possess a wealth of experience in writing sessions and camp environments, we encourage you to seize this opportunity! To apply, please submit your motivation letter, CV, and portfolio to Dutch Music Export no later than October 5th. Join us in Rio de Janeiro for a transformative and culturally enriching experience!

About
'Indie in Town' is a place where emerging acts can reach a new British audience consisting of music lovers as well as music professionals. There are both Dutch and English acts perform during these evenings. After multiple successful 'Indie in Town' events in Amsterdam and two very successful editions in London, a third edition will take place the 7th of October at The Old Blue Last.

The Great Escape is the festival in Brighton, United Kingdom for new music, showcasing 500 emerging artists from all over the world in 30+ walkable venues across the city and a pop-up festival site on Brighton Beach.

Tramhaus at MaMA Music & Convention in Paris, France
The Rotterdam-based punk band Tramhaus is adding the MaMA Music & Convention 2024 in Paris, FR, to their showcase festival streak.
About Tramhaus
Rotterdam’s new livewire post-punk act Tramhaus have quickly carved out their own space within the Dutch port city’s notable enclaves of noise-making firebrands. The five-piece prowl right at the nerve center of the city’s suffering. On stage, the group creates shell-shocked havoc, together with fragments of unfortunate incidents and bleak everyday realities. Like any great punk rock band in their formative stages, Tramhaus thrive on a knee-jerk energy and pure insanity to propel their songwriting, spitting the words of the oppressor back at their targets.

The Marketing Regulation in 2024
About the Marketing Regulation
In response to the overwhelming popularity of the Marketing Regulation, we have implemented an important change for the upcoming year of 2024. We have decided to allocate the total budget for the regulation into four quarterly allocations. This adjustment will enable us to evaluate applications more effectively and award funding to the most deserving applicants.
How to apply
For the first quarter of 2024 (Q1), the application period will commence on October 1st and conclude on November 20th. On December 11th, all applicants will receive an email notification from Dutch Music Export indicating whether their application has been approved.
